Memory 5 and 6
Memory 5: Receiving flowers from Vincent
This is something Vincent does all the time when Gilbert is away on a mission, delivered by Echo. The message reads something like, "Echo has some information on the illegal contractor you are targeting. Are you safe? I miss you so when you're gone, nii-san, but I know you will succeed. I'll be waiting until we meet again. --Vincent" Gilbert, getting as used to this as one gets, takes note of the flowers (red roses, hollyhock, begonia) and thanks Echo.
Learns:
- Some flower language; implication of warning he takes note of, he is reminded that this is for the sake of something he must achieve, he also... ... red roses...
- He is carrying his gun, he has a "target"... no idea on what an "illegal contractor" is
- awkwardddllly complicatteeddd relationship with brother...
That gives him some actual idea of his life!! As for the next...
Memory 6: BRAINWASHING
What he remembered:

YEAAAA SOOO
This had intrinsic echoes until now; it's canon that even if Gilbert loses all his memories, this is still extremely strong, though not uncontrollable. It gets stronger if his past is agitated. Because it was missing, Gilbert strongly latched onto the members of Peridot who showed him kindness when he had no memory, and took him in and cared for him. Thanks to this time period and the definition of "Master" presented to him in the brainwashing spell, as well as Gilbert's perceived "role" and the definition of "Peridot" presented to him, the general association with Peridot and his devotion to Peridot's members will be affected by this brainwashing along with the specific association of "Master," though it will be less severely arresting than an actual "Master" figure would be. The members vary in potency, and new members can earn inclusion, thanks again to how Peridot was defined to him as a family that protects each other. However, "Master" trumps everything, and he can have violent whiplash against even precious loved ones if "Master" is in jeopardy.
The reason Gilbert seems to be incapable of finding value in self-worth or personal drive, and wraps himself up in a singularity that isn't his own, is because he actually cannot do otherwise. There is a ton of Gil's personality that is just how Gil is, and then it begs the question of how much of that is him, and how much of it is just him because it's out of his control? HA HA, OH PANDORA HEARTS.
Memory effects:
- He does not remember he took it. He has no idea what happened and will act as such.
- The effect is active immediately. Should Jack or Oz arrive they have the literal "Master" standing, then members of Peridot have strong potency.
This is a SHAREABLE MEMORY. I... I AM NOT SURE WHAT TO DO WITH THAT. THAT SEEMS DANGEROUS. He may accidentally keep taking the memory over and over, not understanding he already has been through it, until he breaks it. 8D UNLESS SOMEBODY WOULD LIKE SOME SERIOUSLY POTENT "MASTER" BRAINWASHING?
