Memory 3: "Ore" Training
What this is:
This and the next page. IN AN ATTEMPT TO MAKE GILBERT LESS OF A PUSSY AND MORE OF A MAN (but actually, it's just Gilbert being horribly teased), Break is a HELPER. He makes him switch to "ore" for his first-person pronoun and makes him repeat it over and over with CONFIDENCE :D
What we LEARNED:
- Name is Gil!
- I'm not always a child prostitute on the streets and my brother's okay too!! (But better than me 8( ) (But loves me!)
- I ~LOVE~ OZ AND OSCAR and they're manly and heroes and I want to be like themm
- Break is a mentor who looks out for me and I tell him things and care about his opinion (amazingly, in their one conversation not knowing each other, Gil's weak self-presence came up)
Gil can't tell this wasn't sincere at all. 8D; Also, the juxtaposition of being a severely self-sacrificing elder brother and being very flustered about being a big brother is a bit odd. Before he just flat-out had to do anything to live with and protect his brother even if it was awful and painful and he hated it. In this one it's like he has room to care about standing?
This'll also help him be able to separate TERRIBLE PEOPLE from POTENTIALLY OKAY PEOPLE a little, since he's now scared of everybody, since Mukuro broke his finger for fun. 8'(
